THE DREAM

RUNNING
ACROSS
EGYPT

The dream isn’t one race — it’s three. Cairo to Alexandria, Cairo to Aswan, and Aswan to Alexandria. Right now I’m rebuilding the base to get back to racing shape, like I used to be, before any of that becomes real.

THE THREE ROUTES

ROUTE 01 OF 03

CAIROALEXANDRIA~220KM

The Desert Road — the first leg, and the one that started the whole idea.

ROUTE 02 OF 03

CAIROASWAN~900KM

The Nile Valley, south — the longest single leg of the three.

ROUTE 03 OF 03

ASWANALEXANDRIA~1200KM

The full length of the country, coast to south — the biggest of the three.

WHERE I AM RIGHT NOW

Before any of the three routes, there’s a simpler goal: getting back to racing marathons at all. I used to run consistently — right now I’m rebuilding that base, one training block at a time, before I chase distance for its own sake again.

Once that’s back, the plan is simple in theory and enormous in practice: build up through Cairo to Alexandria, then Cairo to Aswan, then the biggest of the three — Aswan to Alexandria, the full length of the country. No fixed order yet, and no dates — just the direction.

What’s real right now is the training — logged, as honestly as I can manage, in the journey.
